About Us

Waratah Respite Services is a not-for-profit organisation that provides flexible respite services in Coffs Harbour and the surrounding districts since 1987. We offer centre based social support and respite care in Coffs Harbour and Woolgoolga as well as flexible overnight respite in our Maureen Guthrie Cottage for older people, those living with dementia and their carers.

The Position:
Opportunity for a Manager to run a 6 bed residential respite Centre and CHSP funded Day Programs in a beautiful location on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales. With the support of a Care Manager overseeing the clinical team, and a Social Support Team Leader, you will lead the overall operation of the service. You will maintain occupancy and rapport with key stakeholders, manage budgets, position the service to take advantage of the aged care reforms, ensure the service meets compliance with the aged care quality standards, and overall lead a friendly but professional team culture.

Key Information:

  • Competitive salary in the region of $110,000 + superannuation + salary packaging.

  • This service is running well and going through preparation for an accreditation towards the end of the financial year.
  • Join a small not-for-profit Aged Care Provider, who makes a real difference in improving the quality of life of our clients, and their families and carers.


  • AHPRA Registered Nurse or other relevant tertiary qualifications.
  • Demonstrated experience working as a manager in residential or community aged care.
  • Strong operational and financial management skills.
  • Experience with the accreditation process.
