Waratah Respite Services is a not-for-profit organisation that provides flexible respite services in Coffs Harbour and the surrounding districts since 1987. We offer centre based social support and respite care in Coffs Harbour and Woolgoolga as well as flexible overnight respite in our Maureen Guthrie Cottage for older people, those living with dementia and their carers.

The Team Leader Social Support Services will be expected to apply the organisation’s vision, mission and values in the performance of this role. The incumbent in the position must possess the ability to work as part of a senior management group responsible for assisting the Manager to inform and implement the strategic direction of the business.
The objective of the position is to develop and implement day program activities that reflect the intent of the Aged Care Quality Standards including increasing client choice, reablement and wellbeing. This to be carried out in partnership with clients and family carers.
The Team Leader Social Support Services has the primary responsibility to lead, manage and co-ordinate the day-to-day operations of the day respite service teams.
The Team Leader Social Support Services will monitor the performance of team members to ensure that the work outputs in the teams are efficient and effective, and practices are in line with the WRS policies and procedures.
