A single electric  hospital bed with a special comfortable mattress overlay, a built in wardrobe, an easy chair, a bedside table with a lockable drawer, a touch lamp, an overhead fan, a television,  a reverse cycle air conditioner and a disability en-suite.

What to bring with you?

Bring comfortable casual clothes which have been marked clearly with your name so that items do not get lost. All clothes are laundered at the Centre. For the safety of our clients, it is Waratah’s policy that all medications are dispensed to residents via a blister pak.

Please ask your chemist to dispense your medications into a blister pak prior to your admission and bring the medications and a signing sheet with you on the day.

Waratah will also contact your doctor to request a medical profile and medication orders prior to your admission.

We encourage families, friends & carers to visit any time of the day and at evenings.

We welcome any enquiries from carers during the respite period; telephone and emails will be passed on to clients on request.

Clients will be provided a light breakfast, morning tea, a nutritious two course lunch prepared in our kitchen, afternoon tea, a two-course dinner and supper.

If you have any special dietary requirements or likes and dislikes please inform the staff at your interview prior to the admission day.
